Today I did a Chili Taste test between 2 “readily available” canned chilis. The first one (the cheaper of the two), had beans and was not terrible. The second one, claimed to be an “authentic” Texas recipe from 1895 it had no beans and called itself a hotdog chili sauce. All I can say is, I sure am glad that wasn’t around in 1895 as I would have never eaten this. It tasted like what I would imagine that feet taste like. 🌭
